Welcome to Black Bear Lodge, a bright, beautifully appointed end-unit townhome designed for comfort, easy ski days, and unforgettable mountain memories. One of the few corner units in the building, it has windows on three sides, filling 1,750 sq ft of post-and-beam architecture with light all day. Three bedrooms, three baths, sleeps 10. Soak in the private hot tub with the Monashee range on one side and the valley below, and ski in and out to Perfection or Hummingbird right from your front door.

- Perfection and Hummingbird are both reached by a short groomed path from the door - easy for adults and confident kids, though smaller children may want a hand carrying their gear for a couple of minutes.
- 4WS/AWD Vehicle with winter tires or chains are strongly recommended on the access road October 1 – April 30.
- The hot tub is cleaned and tested between every stay. Please shower before use and replace the cover after.

Damage Protection:
Please note, as a software connected property management company, we require damage protection for all reservations to help keep operations running smoothly. You can choose between a smart damage waiver or a refundable security deposit.

Choose your protection option:
1) Smart Damage Waiver – covers accidental damage up to $3,000. No deposit hold required.
or
2) Refundable Security Deposit ($3,000) – temporary hold, automatically released within 7 days after checkout, subject to inspection.

Note: The waiver covers accidental damage only. It does not cover smoking, intentional damage, negligence, policy violations, pet issues, or unregistered guests. In these cases, related costs may be charged to you in accordance with the booking platform’s policies and our guest agreement.

Additional cars should park in the Happy Valley overflow parking lot at a cost of $20 per night or $100 per week. Permits must be purchased from Big White Mountain Central Mountain Check-In (winter only).

Black Bear Lodge sits in Big White's Lower Village, tucked just off the runs and only a few minutes' walk from everything. Head down Kettle View Road and you're in the village core in about seven minutes — Snowshoe Sam's for après, Kettle Valley Steakhouse and Globe Cafe & Tapas Bar for dinner, Sessions Taphouse for a pint, plus the grocery store, rental shops and ski school.

Happy Valley Adventure Centre is the kids' headquarters, with the tube park, outdoor ice rink, snow mazes, mini-snowmobiles and sleigh rides. Big White also runs one of the largest night skiing operations in Canada, so the day doesn't have to end when the main lifts close.

It's a quiet, residential pocket of the resort - you get village access without village noise, which is exactly why families keep coming back to this side of the hill.

The entire townhome is yours, plus two reserved stalls in the secure heated underground garage, a private ski locker on the ground floor, your own hot tub on the main-floor deck, and in-suite laundry. The village core - restaurants, groceries, rentals, tube park - is a short walk from the door, and 24-hour on-site assistance is available at Black Bear Lodge.

You enter on the ground floor into a proper mud room with plenty of space to drop boots, poles and wet gear after a full day on the slopes, along with a convenient powder room.

Upstairs, the main entertaining floor is warm and inviting: an open-concept living, dining and kitchen space under a wall of windows, anchored by a fireplace and filled with light all day. Step straight out to the deck and your private hot tub, where mountain and valley views stretch out in front of you - and it's four steps back into the warm room when you're done.

The third floor holds two bedrooms and a full bathroom together, giving kids and guests a level of their own. One of the two includes a pull-out sofa, bringing comfortable capacity to 10.

The entire top floor belongs to the primary suite and its ensuite - a genuinely private retreat with nobody above you and nobody passing through.

Why Guests Love It:
Guests notice the light first. With windows on three sides, #14 is brighter than anything else in the building, and the exposed post-and-beam framing gives it a true mountain-lodge feel. The private hot tub opening right off the living floor is the après-ski highlight, with valley and mountain views stretching before you. Families especially appreciate the layout - kids and guests together on their own floor, the primary suite private on top - and the two heated underground parking stalls mean a warm, clear car every single morning. You won't need to drive once you're here. The runs are a groomed path from your front door and the village core is a short walk downhill. Big White also runs a complimentary on-mountain shuttle through the winter season, roughly 7am–9pm daily, if you'd rather not walk back up after dinner.

Getting here: Big White is about 55 minutes from Kelowna International Airport (YLW) via Highway 33, roughly 60 km. Airport shuttles run daily through the winter and can be booked ahead through Big White Central Reservations, or you can rent a car in Kelowna.

If you drive, AWD or 4WD with winter tires or chains are strongly recommended on the access road from October 1 to April 30. Your two reserved stalls in the secure heated underground garage mean you'll never scrape a windshield or dig the car out.
